Matanuska Valley Federal Credit Union VCO Supervisor in Wasilla, Alaska
PURPOSE
Assume responsibility for the overall operation and effective management of the Virtual Community Office in the absence of the Virtual Community Office Manager. Provide personal member services to our members and employees through support related functions, in accordance with established policies, procedures, and core values.
FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for member marketing of the Credit Union and advanced knowledge of all services offered to a degree that will enable answering questions, cross selling, or referring members for specific services.
Ensure day-to-day activities are consistent with the Credit Unions overall short and long-term goals. Work with Virtual Community Office Manager to set performance and quality goals for Virtual Community Office employees. Accountable for the achievement of the Virtual Community Office productivity and quality goals.
Oversees Virtual Community Office functions and supervises team; coaches, mentors, interviews and selects qualified candidates. Recommends salary adjustments and/or promotions.
Develop and maintain adequate staffing to meet membership needs. Prepare Virtual Community Office employees regular work schedule. Provide last minute adjustments to staffing/scheduling to ensure adequate coverage.
Provide daily and weekly reports and statistics to the Virtual Community Office, Administration, and Virtual Community Office Manager. Use statistical information for the development of employees and to ensure performance/quality goals are met and/or exceeded.
Promotes a favorable department image, reflecting a sound and secure Credit Union that employs thorough procedures, safety measures and provides a pleasant atmosphere for members and employees, including privacy and confidentiality.
Exercise sound judgment and sound business practices within authority limits when allowing for policy exceptions. Exceptions to policy will be made on a case by case basis for the purpose of servicing our members.
Provide support and assistance to a variety of back office departments including but not limited to: processing transactions for various depts., creating Charge Off accounts, current and former employee/volunteer account maintenance, etc.
Perform backup duties for the Virtual Community Office including but not limited to: phones, interactive teller machines, RDC, L360 etc. to also include backup for all supervisor and manager positions.
Maintains an inventory of department supplies.
Ensure Virtual Community Office staff has specific knowledge of safety and security program for alarms, robberies, bomb threats, extortion, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned.
PREREQUISITES FOR THE POSITION
Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Business degree desirable.
Minimum Experience: Three (3) years financial institution experience with demonstrated competence in all aspects of the Virtual Community Office Representative position. Two (2) years of supervisory experience with necessary experience to manage a Virtual Community Office.
