Koniag Energy & Water Journeyman Electrician - Industrial in Wasilla, Alaska
Job Summary:
Big G (a subsidiary of Koniag Energy and Water)is looking for Industrial Journeyman Electricians to work in Alaska. You will work under the direction of Big G's field management team. Journeyman Electricians will be responsible for performing highly skilled maintenance, installation, repair, and troubleshooting work involved with electrical systems.

- Run conduit, cable tray, pulling wire, terminating instrumentation and PLC's, motor controls, instrument tubing and 480v and medium voltage terminations.
- Ability to construct and fabricate; racks, supports.
- Read and understand electrical drawings and speci?cations.
- Responsible for use and care of the tools and equipment commonly employed in industrial construction such as hydraulic/electric conduit benders, knockout punch sets, cable pullers, meggers, and DMM's.
- Interprets and ensures compliance with electrical codes and calculates line leads to determine wire and equipment size and capacity.
- Demonstrate safe work habits and proper care of equipment and tools.
- May perform both low voltage and medium voltage tasks.
- Support the zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
- Must have in depth knowledge of conduit, fittings, methods of construction, code in relation to conduit applications.
Qualifications:
- Must have a verifiable State of Alaska Electrical Journeyman License.
- Valid Driver's License with a safe driving record.
Additional Information:
- Must have own hand tools, power tools will be provided by Big G.
Work Location and Travel: This position will be based at any one of our client sites throughout Alaska.
