POSITION OVERVIEW: Provides seasonal support to the maintenance staff. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Grounds keeping including mowing lawns, trimming shrubs, and maintaining sprinkler systems Basic maintenance and preventive maintenance on grounds equipment, building HVAC systems, and facilities Operate wastewater treatment plant, maintain records, and perform required testing Painting Janitorial duties in the mill Use the Quality Management System to ensure all processes are accurately documented in work instructions and actively look for ways to improve productivity and efficiency continually Perform all duties following safety rules and regulations Perform other duties as assigned SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Familiarity with and ability to operate lawnmowers, tractors, weed eaters, and other grounds keeping equipment Basic mechanical skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Capable of working collaboratively in teams and productively independently Organized and detail-oriented Physical Requirements: Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk Be able to work from raised heights such as ladders, roofs, and lifts Regularly required to bend and move about the entire mill site Occasionally required to lift and move up to 30 pounds Experience/Education: High School Diploma/GED Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities WORK ENVIRONMENT: Production Mill, requiring the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to hearing protection and safety shoes.
