SUPERVISOR - MAINTENANCE
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE SUPERVISOR - MAINTENANCE Provide Maintenance employees with guidance, direction and supervision in support of departmental operations. Promptly address performance issues. Actively promote all company policies and expectations, especially in support of safety plans and results. Execute planned and scheduled maintenance operations within assigned area of responsibility. Maintain a positive work environment by regularly communicating with employees on the shop floor and responding to employee issues and concerns in a timely manner. Maintain well-organized and productive work areas. Work with others to achieve department and company goals and objectives. Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
REQUIRED FOR THE SUPERVISOR - MAINTENANCE High school diploma required. Two-year degree preferred. Minimum two years supervisory experience in a manufacturing/maintenance environment. Applies management expertise to improve efficiency and accomplish operational objectives within own area of responsibility or department. Has breadth and depth of expertise in a technical or functional area; knowledge of work processes and tools is generally limited to own area of responsibility or department. Sets priorities for employees to meet daily deadlines; develops plans to meet short-term objectives. Works within budgetary/financial objectives set by manager. Practical understanding of industrial/maintenance principles, standards, methods and practices. Knowledge of disciplined problem-solving methods. Knowledge of positive employee relations practices. Interprets customer needs and assesses requirements. Effectively coaches, gives performance feedback and may provide development opportunities for a shift, team or unit. Demonstrated leadership ability; sets high expectations for performance. Innovative problem-solving skills, including motivation to discover "Win-Win" outcomes whenever possible. Good business judgment and decision-making skills. Direct, candid and mature interpersonal skills. Trustworthy and able to influence others. Manages the calibration and TUS/SAT programs through third parties and onsite resources. Ability to troubleshoot drives, transformers, instrumentation, power/control wiring, AC/DC motors, relays, contactors, etc. using flukes, volt meters, amp clamps, oscilloscopes, etc.
