Eaton Corporation Manufacturing Manager in Washington, Pennsylvania

Eaton’s Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) division is currently seeking an Manufacturing Manager. This role is based at our manufacturing facility in Washington, PA. Relocation assistance is available.

Washington, PA is the home of the Eaton Crouse-Hinds commercial outlet box facility which manufactures steel boxes, covers, and prefabricated electrical assemblies. Manufacturing 1.3 million units per week, this highly automated and fast paced environment places a high value on talented professionals that are focus on problem solving and efficiency.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $105000.03 - $154000.04 a year.

What you’ll do:

As leader for the Washington site’s steel outlet box manufacturing department, you will have an opportunity to make an impact by leveraging both operations experience and leadership skills. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring consistent production processes, maintaining quality standards, promoting safety, and demonstrating company core values. Your strategic planning and team management skills will be essential to drive growth and efficiency, and you will be a key player in shaping the organizational culture of this site. Here are some key areas you’ll be involved in:

  • Operational Oversight:

  • Manage day-to-day activities within the Steel department.

  • Oversee production processes, quality control, and efficiency improvements.

  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to drive continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with production supervisors to ensure smooth operations.

  • Communicate and demonstrate Eaton’s best practices, ethics, and values throughout the organization.

  • Strategic Planning:

  • Work closely with the Plant Manager and other leaders.

  • Participate in decision-making related to financial processes, budgeting, and resource allocation.

  • Develop strategies for growth and expansion as the business scales.

  • Staffing and Team Management:

  • Lead a team of 100+ employees, including production supervisors.

  • Handle staffing, performance evaluations, and talent development.

  • Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork.

  • Facility Maintenance and Safety

  • Ensure proper maintenance of equipment and facilities.

  • Implement and enforce plant policies and safety protocols.

The ideal candidate possesses effective communication skills with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization. You will motivate and develop team members to foster a culture of safety, accountability, employee engagement and continuous improvement. A solid understanding of manufacturing procedures, Lean/Six Sigma principles including visual management systems, safety protocols, quality assurance, and production planning will be beneficial to this role. We are looking for candidates who are diverse in their backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences, and who can bring fresh and innovative ideas to our team.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Institution

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in an Operations or Manufacturing environment

  • Minimum two (2) years of leadership experience

  • Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading Continuous Improvement initiatives.

  • Direct managerial experience within an Operations or Manufacturing environment.

  • Stamping or Tooling experience
