Naval Facilities Engineering Command ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER in Washington Navy Yard, District Of Columbia
Summary You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER in the BUSINESS DIRECTORATE DIVISION of NAVFAC OSF. Responsibilities You will provide oversight, management and supervision of administrative, information management, military personnel support and travel programs and services. You will plan and assign work of subordinate personnel based on priorities, difficulty and requirements of work assignments, and the capabilities of employees. You will evaluate work performance of subordinate staff and provide advice and guidance to employees on work and administrative matters. You will conduct and direct complex studies related to management analysis, organizational dynamics, and administration program management within the Naval Facilities Engineering Command enterprise. You will identify and propose solutions to management problems for which previous studies and established management techniques are frequently inadequate. You will implement management program changes mandated by new or revised legislation and define new managerial program needs. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector 1) Developing program elements, goals, initiatives and objectives for an administrative program; 2) Developing internal operating policies and procedures for administrative programs; 3) Conducting studies in management analysis and organizational dynamics for the purpose of identifying and solving management problems in administrative programs; and 4) Participating in the programming, planning and budget formation of administrative programs.
