We are looking for multiple Test Engineers with a strong background in test automation to support software testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and implementing automated test solutions that ensure the quality and stability of our platform applications. This role requires a candidate with a passion for testing, strong programming experience, and a proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks like Copado.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support test automation solution planning and estimation, analyzing current architecture and proposing visions for growth

  • Conduct detailed test designs using best practices in software test engineering, focusing on automation platforms and distributed system integration

  • Work collaboratively with business analysts and developers to elaborate requirements for Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD)

  • Develop and implement automated test scenarios for integration/regression testing, managing data effectively and generating reports

  • Enhance existing test automation frameworks to increase their speed, flexibility, and user-friendliness, utilizing parallel processing or grid systems

  • Manage the lifecycle of automated tests, including the strategic decommissioning of brittle tests and determining scenarios that are not suitable for automation

  • Define and establish test metrics to measure product quality, the quality of testing, and to provide feedback to the engineering team

  • Oversee the deployment of automated test solutions, including the creation and maintenance of the automation framework across the application stack

  • Implement end-to-end test automation strategies, including performance and load testing roadmaps

  • Supporting contract documentation

  • Devise methods and guidelines to continuously improve quality processes and practices across multiple projects

  • Work closely with the Product Owners, developers, and stakeholders to understand product specifics and to create corresponding test strategies

  • Develop and maintain Functional and Regression testing suites for various applications in a large-scale Salesforce environment

  • Evaluate existing test artifacts and design test cases/scripts for new releases with minimal supervision

  • Execute manual testing on frontend (UI) and backend (API) systems

Required Qualifications

  • One of the following Platform Certifications: Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Developer, Certified Microsoft Power Platform Developer Associate, Appian Certified Associate Developer, or Certified Pega System Architect

  • 3+ years of experience in test automation, with proven expertise in tools and frameworks such as Copado

  • 3+ years of experience with Test Automation tools preferred (Provar, Eggplant, Selenium)

  • 3+ years of experience working in Agile-Scrum or other adaptive methodologies

  • Intermediate knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), cloud, and multi-tenant architectures

  • Intermediate proficiency in testing UI/UX best practices and understanding of 508 compliance requirements

  • Intermediate knowledge with tools such as JIRA/Confluence and Stash/Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins/Bamboo

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as a proactive team member

  • Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and/or other federal organizations

  • Strong programming skills and a passion for software testing

  • Reliable internet service that allows for effective telecommuting

  • Eligible to work in the United States

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance

  • All work must be conducted in the United States

California, Colorado, Nevada, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Hawaii, Washington, or Washington D.C Residents Only : The hourly range for California, Colorado, Nevada, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Hawaii, Washington, or Washington D.C residents is $88,000 to $173,200 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
