Overview:
This position is part of the Clean Products Value Chain and reports to the Atlantic Coast Region Commercial Market Manager. The position is based in Raleigh NC, Virginia, or Washington DC.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish responsive customer relationships, communicating critical business issues, resolving day-to-day problems, and updating customers on industry issues, market conditions and MPC products, services, and policies, to enhance MPC’s position as a preferred supplier. Conduct face-to-face and virtual meetings.
Continuously optimize the portfolio of business by actively managing accounts, focusing on the optimal price/volume relationship for all products while executing strategic direction of the Territory.
Develop and execute strategies to increase brand and unbranded market share in new and existing markets.
Develop, negotiate, implement, and manage contracts and non-fuel offerings to optimize value contribution.
Evaluate market dynamics and niches seeking profit opportunities with new and existing customers through pricing programs, contracts, and market expansions to enhance MPC's overall corporate profitability.
Maintain a broad understanding of industry issues, government regulation, economic conditions, business outlooks, commercial and consumer needs, and MPC competitive strengths and weaknesses by market.
Actively participate in industry associations and conferences.
Maintain the highest level of ethical conduct, professional standards, and practices within the industry.
Maintain the highest level of work practices in meeting Health, Environment & Safety goals, and requirements.
The above responsibilities notwithstanding, the final scope of the role will be determined by the experience level of the candidate selected.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:• Bachelor’s degree required.• Two (2) or more years of industry-related experience required.
