SR. SALES ARCHITECT (GLOBAL STARLINK ENTERPRISE SALES)

The Starlink Enterprise Sales team is hiring a result driven Sr. Sales Architect to support Starlink’s adoption around the world. Starlink brings an unprecedented opportunity to significantly impact communities, businesses, and governments worldwide. The role will focus on assessing market trends to identify new use cases that Starlink can uniquely disrupt while supporting our sales community in their current opportunities. This role is on a high velocity team with extremely high expectations – this position requires deep technology acumen and business understanding to support Starlink in meeting revenue targets.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support your team in exceeding revenue targets – all aspects of this role are in service to delivering revenue for Starlink

  • Support the technical sales engagement of the team, answering customer questions and RFIs during their evaluation of the product

  • Identify new markets, use cases, or alternative go-to-market strategies that support revenue growth and be able to defend them internally

  • Contribute to building and executing our channel strategy, assisting in the onboarding and education of new channel partners

  • Guide the development of sales enablement tooling to streamline seller’s customer engagement and improve the quality of sale

  • Work in partnership with our market access, government affairs, finance, legal, and product engineering teams

  • Lead more complex customer proof-of-concept efforts to integrate Starlink into customer’s existing Enterprise network environments

  • Gather and document customer requirements to support the product engineering team to iterate on and improve Starlink product offerings. This can range from feedback on the Starlink’s service, user dashboards, APIs, and processes to improve customer adoption and experience

  • Consult with product engineering on best practices, reference architectures, and technical guides demonstrating integration details and value proposition of Starlink

  • Represent Starlink at regional conferences and events

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline OR 5+ years of professional working experience in lieu of a degree

  • 5+ years of professional experience in technical sales

  • 5+ years of professional hands-on experience building and deploying enterprise network infrastructure

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Strong analytical skills in business and technical issues

  • Comfort with high degree of ambiguity and figuring out the solution with minimal support

  • Highly detail oriented, diligent, and hard working with excellent customer interface skills

  • Deep computer networking experience:

  • Common IETF and 3GPP standards

  • Network monitoring with sFlow, RFC 2544, Y.1564, TWAMP, POLQA

  • TCP, IPv4, IPv6, VLANs, VXLAN, NAT, BGP, OSFP, DHCP, LACP, MPLS, DSCP, L2 and L3VPNs

  • SD-WAN solutions

  • Linux networking and user-space network stack

  • Contextual understanding of enterprise, telecom and cloud provider network environments and solution offerings

  • Proficiency with at least one programming/scripting language

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and external customers

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be available to work extended hours and weekends as needed

  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time including to customer locations and other SpaceX locations

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Sr. Enterprise Sales Architect: $150,000.00 - $205,000.00/per year

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation & will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year. Exempt employees are eligible for 5 days of sick leave per year.

This position is also eligible for a sales bonus plan.
