Overview:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving the design, development, and implementation of innovative software solutions. Working within this sub family, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products and systems that meet client needs and project objectives. Your expertise in software engineering principles and practices will be instrumental in shaping the future of technology and driving innovation forward.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Requirements Analysis and System Design:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze software requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives.

  • Lead the design phase, architecting software solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements.

Development and Implementation:

  • Utilize industry best practices to develop high-quality software products and tools, employing programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, etc.

  • Implement testing strategies to validate software functionality, reliability, and performance.

Troubleshooting and Debugging:

  • Conduct thorough troubleshooting and debugging of software programs to identify and resolve issues, ensuring optimal system performance.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation:

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance existing software systems and development processes.

  • Contribute to the development of new software-intensive products and systems, leveraging emerging technologies.

Project Management and Leadership:

  • Manage large-scale projects, overseeing project timelines, resources, and deliverables.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Communicate effectively with internal team members and client stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals and progress.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software components and ensure interoperability.

    Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, with 8-12 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 6-10 years of relevant experience. A Doctorate in a technical domain is highly desirable.

  • Proven expertise in software engineering, including design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging.

  • Extensive knowledge of advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, etc., along with experience working with relevant development tools and frameworks.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to manage large projects or processes and provide guidance to junior team members.
