Amentum Senior Submarine Training Program Analyst in Washington, District Of Columbia
Provides PEO Undersea Warfare Systems Training Directorate (UWS TR) program office with Combat Systems (CS) and shore-based submarine team trainers. The contractor shall have knowledge in trainers such as the SMMTT (Submarine Multi Mission Team Trainer) and the MIT (Multipurpose Interactive Trainer). The contractor will also provide expert level support to the Assistant Program Manager (APM) in SONAR and Combat Control Systems (CCS) theories, equipment, and operations. The Training Support Analyst will also be required to apply consulting skills, technical experience, and in-depth knowledge of current submarine training systems and assist in future trainer developments and provide technical assistance and analysis directly supporting UWS TR APMs by providing recommendations that mimic operations and capabilities of submarine installed Advanced Processor Build (APB)/Technical Insertion (TI) builds. Attends conferences and meetings as needed, engages in limited financial tracking and execution, in addition to acting as a System Matter Expert to ensure quality of training equipment and material to the Fleet. This position will require roughly 10% travel.
Minimum Qualifications
· 10+ years of experience working with Submarine Combat and Sonar systems.
· Knowledge in the operations, employment, and limitations of submarine trainers to include SMMTT, MIT and other shore-based trainers.
· Experience with Navy/NAVSEA programs and associated SONAR and CCS.
· Ability to understand client issues and deliver new and unique capabilities to solve problems.
· Secret clearance
· HS diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with Navy acquisition or In-Service Programs.
· Valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
· Certified Master Training Specialist (MTS).
· Knowledge of the TI/APB delivery cycle.
· Knowledge of DoD 5000 requirements.
· Qualified trainer operator at any Submarine Learning Center (SLC) site.
· Bachelor's degree in a Technical or Business Field.
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
Location: Washington Navy Yard/Hybrid 2-3 days per week in the office. In-person office requirements may be subject to change due to DoD/NAVSEA work location requirements. Salary range $105,000 - $120,000
