Requirements

Georgetown University’s Center for Global Health Science and Security (http://ghss.georgetown.edu/) conducts original research to help decision makers worldwide build sustainable capacities to prevent, detect, respond to public health emergencies, and to provide policymakers, donors, and researchers with a high-quality evidence base to make decisions that promote health security.

The Senior Scientist will provide technical expertise and operational leadership to the successful execution of global health security activities associated with the Center for Global Health Science and Security. Additional duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Contribute or indeed lead, if sufficiently capable, the development of new research proposals for external funding.

Work Interactions

This project requires collaboration among multi-disciplinary team members based in several partner institutions (across several countries), and the Senior Scientist will be expected to uphold the Center and Georgetown missions through these interactions.
