ManTech Senior Naval Architect in Washington, District Of Columbia
Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Naval Architect to join our team in Washington, DC .
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
This position will support the PMS 406 Unmanned Maritime Systems Program Office providing technical support to the development and modernization of unmanned surface and underwater vessels.
Work will involve providing analysis on ship hulls and superstructures, study design products and specifications to establish basic characteristics of a ship, such as size, weight, and speed, lead teams from a variety of specialties to oversee building and testing prototypes, evaluate how ships perform during trials, both at dock and at sea, and change designs as needed to make sure national and international standards are met.
Minimum Qualifications:
10+ years professional experience in Naval Architecture
Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Architecture or Ocean Engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
15 or more years of professional experience in Naval Architecture
Familiarity with DoD/DoN acquisition procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process)
Clearance Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship
Interim Top-Secret clearance with eligibility for Top Secret
