About this agency Responsibilities Please Note: Employees will be required to report to their assigned office location at least 2 day per week for non-supervisory positions and 3 days per week for supervisory/managerial positions unless the position advertised is designated as a remote-only position. This position is in the Office of External Engagement (OEE) at EXIM. The Office is responsible for administering EXIM's External Engagement Programs, including planning all EXIM's special events and outreach efforts to external customers, such as exporters, banks, other interest groups, and federal/ state/ local government agencies. The incumbent serves as the Deputy Vice President (VP) of OEE, providing direction and oversight for coordination, staff supervision, strategic planning, stakeholder engagement outreach, special events and new initiatives. Also, the incumbent oversees and reviews external engagement activities, provides leadership, direct supervision, and management support to a team of administrative staff in the absence of the VP of OEE. Duties include, but are not limited to: Serves as the Deputy VP and senior external engagement advisor developing and implementing external engagement programs for EXIM. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with external EXIM stakeholders, other federal and non-federal organizations, trade associations, industry groups, special interest groups, chambers of commerce, and think tanks. Works in collaboration with the VP of OEE and other EXIM staff to plan and execute EXIM sponsored special events, including the Annual Conference which is a comprehensive/major event involving domestic and international representatives. Coordinates other EXIM events, forums and roundtables, customer site visits, and external events involving senior leadership. Maximizes awareness of external engagement issues and concerns through direct contact with organizations internal and external to EXIM. Attends senior level meetings regarding external and internal customer issues related to external engagement and other EXIM initiatives. Utilizes a substantial and high degree of analytical skills, judgment, discretion, and expertise of administrative and external engagement program principles, concepts, policies, and objectives. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Specialized Experience (Credit for Specialized Experience on resume must reflect 40 hours/Full-time per week for each period of work): GS-14: You must have one (1) year of specialized experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal Government or other equivalent pay systems. Specialized experience includes: Experience coordinating stakeholder relationships for a government agency, elected official, business group, or trade association; Experience developing and implementing strategic plans for stakeholder engagement and senior leadership participation in external events; Experience leading the planning and execution of events to inform and educate stakeholders and the general public about an organization's core mission and programs; and Experience providing advice and recommendations to senior leadership officials on critical issues. Education cannot be substituted for experience at the GS-14 grade level.
