My client is a global non-profit organization looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team based in their Washington, DC office. The ideal person selected for the Senior Accountant position will be responsible for assisting with the month end close process, performing back reconciliations, tracking and accounting for grants, posting various journal entries, process monthly payroll and preparing the financial statements. This organization offers great flexibility with work-life balance and excellent benefits.

Daily responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include:

· Complete the month-end close.

· Assist with accounting for grants.

· General ledger maintenance.

· Reconcile various accounts.

· Prepare financial statements.

· Process monthly payroll.

Requirements

The ideal Senior Accountant we seek must have the following qualifications for consideration:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

· Grant accounting experience.

· 2-3+ years of non-profit accounting experience.

· Communicate effectively to leadership.
