CORE DC Operations Manager in Washington, District Of Columbia
OPERATIONS MANAGER - Short-Term Family Housing
Hours of Work = On call 24hrs, 7 days per week
Salary Range = $65K - $75K
The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective functioning of the STFH site to provide an efficient and safe working environment for employees and clients by using best business practices to manage resources, services and processes to meet the needs of the District.
OVERVIEW OF POSITION:
- Maintain adequate parts inventory and order items as necessary.
- Contract out landscaping and snow removal services.
- Oversee and supervise team of maintenance technicians.
- Execute equipment audits and record-taking policies.
- Coordinate with the Director of Capital Projects on the implementation of new building projects.
- Ensure compliance with all STFH safety and security protocols.
- Ensuring the security and safety of all STFH residents.
- Supervise all non-programmatic personnel on staff.
- Is on call 24 hours/7 days a week.
- Other duties as assigned by the Program Director.
NECESSARY SKILLS:
- Understanding of inventory control systems
- Able to read and understand electrical, mechanical and automation systems
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
PERFORMANCE EVALUATION CRITERIA
- Ensure 100% compliance with facilities management requirements
- 100% compliance with timely reporting of incidents/unusual occurrences,
- Ensure 100% compliance with oversight of building maintenance and upkeep
- 100% compliance with record-keeping and inventory control
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Facilities Management, Facilities Engineering, property management, business, or
- construction science or a related discipline, preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years experience with facilities management or related qualifications and experience with project management, business management, or construction management needed instead of education.
- Working knowledge of principles and practices of project management.
