Participate in region build projects to deliver on high-level designs with an emphasis on network automation and service integration. Work with project technical leads to organize project technical milestones & supporting tasks. Collaborate across teams within same org (same VP). May serve as technical SME in cross-functional activities. Has technical responsibility for moderately complex project(s), including project requirements, specifications (where applicable), and documentation. Responsible for decomposing high-level architectures into detailed designs. Lead effort developing solutions consisting of multiple modules with complex interactions; Ensure solutions are properly supported by monitoring and automation systems. Serves at Tier2 or specialized escalation point for network events and provides break-fix support for large-scale events. Act as SME for root cause analysis efforts. Frequently develops scripts to automate non-traditional, complex tasks. Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle. Able to carry out technical knowledge-transfer sessions, and helps other engineers develop skills. Collaborates with network engineering and region build architects to address current business or operational issues. Active communication with partner teams. Responsible to drive solutions to meet product and service requirements.
Qualification:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science preferred and three to five years of related experience.
Demonstrated progressive increase in role specific responsibilities and associated complexities
Operational experience with internet routing protocols and concepts, including but not limited to TCP/IP and IP Routing.
Expert level automation and DevOps type optimization experience including proficiency in a combination of Python, Ansible, Docker, TerraForm, REST, Bash, and Yaml.
Advanced level knowledge of Layer 4-7 protocols including HTTP/S, DNS, IPSEC, and SSH
Intermediate level experience in cloud environment support of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, & LBaaS offerings.
Advanced level experience in capacity management, traffic engineering, and performance optimization
Advanced level experience operating in a Linux/Unix environment
3 + years of experience performing Peering, network design, customer turnup, provisioning, migration, and decom
1-2 + years Cloud based Network service design and management
Experience in Traffic Management and Loadbalancing technologies
Experience supporting DNS infrastructure services
Capable of working under limited supervision.
Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities
As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $73,700 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
