A Day in the Role:

• Billing 75-100 claims within "Pending with error" claim status daily

• Checking eligibility on any DC Medicaid/Medicare claims

• Reviewing and processing 50 insurance refunds weekly to the Billing Manager for approval

• Resolve 50 claims weekly with a credit balance with no refund

• Continuously working claim status to get them out of pending status daily

• Run reports needed by Director

• Contact Insurance companies daily to determine when credits will be processed and providing follow up

• Documenting claim follow up in system

Requirements:

• 2+ years in medical billing

• Certifications or Trainings preferred

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00
