Customs and Border Protection Management and Program Analyst in Washington, District Of Columbia

Summary Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Facilities and Asset Management (OFAM), Asset and Administrative Management Division (AAM), located in Washington, DC. Responsibilities This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Enterprise Services (ES), Office of Facilities and Asset Management (OFAM). As a Management and Program Analyst, you will serve as an expert analyst or advisor to executive management on a major mission or administrative program requiring application of a wide range of qualitative system and management support principles, processes, and systems. This includes budget methodology and control; research and performance measurement; information systems; management techniques and theories; organizational structure, planning, and control systems; and/or public and congressional liaisons impacting Customs and Border Protection (CBP). This position starts at a salary of $139,395.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $181,216.00 (GS-14, Step 10). GS Salary: Visit this link to view the locality pay tables by geographic area. Typical work assignments include: Serving as an advisor on program effectiveness and efficiency. Evaluating program effectiveness and efficiency to include administrative processes and programs. Coordinating activities of office support staff. Designing and administering planning and controls for submission of data; and reviewing submissions for substance, conformance with instructions, completeness, and authorizations. Qualifications Experience: You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Providing authoritative advice to management throughout the organization sufficient to communicate department, agency, and leadership priorities. Developing policies, issuances, and directives. Planning, organizing, and directing team and team-task force efforts across organizational lines. Communicating, both orally and in writing, and an ability to grasp conceptual ideas and exercise original thought where there is an established time limit for deliberation, consultation, and evaluation.
