Department of State - Agency Wide Management Analyst in Washington, District Of Columbia

Summary The subject position is located in the Bureau of Administration, Office of Operations (A/OPR). The incumbent reports directly to the Chief of Staff (COS). The incumbent functions as a senior level analyst and authoritative advisor to the Deputy Assistant Secretary (DAS), Managing Directors, COS, and A/OPR Office Directors on a wide variety of major issues. Responsibilities Works in close coordination with the DAS and other key officials to provide a multi-disciplinary approach spanning organizational functions to a broad-range of the most challenging administrative, technical and analytical issues. Applies skills in the recognized discipline of Knowledge Management to multi-functional areas of A/OPR. Ensures the integration and knowledge sharing of valuable information resources across the organization via processes and information systems. Develops formal and informal lines of communication with all areas of the Department and other U.S. Government Agencies having an interest in, or a responsibility for providing any element of administrative and logistical support needed by OPR. Assigning and managing A/OPR Tasker process, preparing talking points, auditing security issues, designs & produces storyboards, and coordinating Bureau Strategic Plan (BSP) from all OPR offices and assembling into one comprehensive document. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Applicants must meet all the required qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement. NOTE: Applicants must meet time-in-grade and time after competitive appointment requirements, by the closing date of this announcement. Time-In-Grade Requirements: Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions, per 5CFR 300, Subpart F. Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following: • Experience receiving, digesting and communicating complex information both orally and in writing. • Experience coordinating and advising on work efforts and projects, working effectively with senior management and colleagues to meet deadlines and satisfy both internal and external requirements. • Experience with customer service that is focused on delivering high-quality products and services. • Experience in developing and maintaining key professional relationships to keep everyone in the loop and tasks on track.
