Job Description
The IT System Administrator
· Provides analysis related to the design, development, and integration of hardware, software, man-machine interfaces and all system level requirements to provide an integrated IT solution.
· Develops integrated system test requirement, strategies, devices and systems.
· Directs overall system level testing.
· Performs Windows System Administration
Required Qualifications:
· 4-year degree in Science or Engineering Discipline; required years of experience can substitute for a 4-year degree
· 7+ years relevant experience
· IAT Level III certification
· Experience with Puppet, Chef, or other configuration management tools
· Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and HyperV
· Experience with DNS and DHCP technologies
· Experience with PowerShell
· Experience with system performance monitoring & fine- tuning
· Experience with back up technologies
· Proven technical experience and a solid foundation in operating systems
· Strong work ethic and have a natural tendency to take ownership of incidents & requests
· Good team communication skills, with technical and non- technical colleagues
· Experience with Splunk or ELK
· Experience with Hadoop
· Experience working with SAN/NAS storage environments
· Experience with JIRA
· Experience in programming languages (C#, Perl, Python a plus)
· ITIL certification or working knowledge
