IBM Federal Sales Leader for webMethods & StreamSets in WASHINGTON, District Of Columbia

Introduction

A Brand Sales Manager career within IBM means being a leader. Someone who sets the tone for collaboration, innovation, and growth across your team of Technology Brand Sales Specialists, 3rd-party sales partners, and client contacts within any given market and/or territory. Applying ownership, accountability, and autonomy for your entire book of business, you'll work through and with multiple teams and stakeholders - internal and external to IBM - as you execute your strategy against account plans that consistently deliver value for your clients.

Your role and responsibilities

Grow the Federal business as the leader of the webMethods and StreamSets brands Federal team. Excellent onboarding training will set you up for a positive impact and success, while ongoing development will help you be successful. Our sales environment is fast-paced and supportive. Collaboration with a wider team is essential to your success. You will be surrounded by other leaders and colleagues eager to help to compel clients to invest in IBM's people, products, and services.

Inspire, motivating and challenge your team to identify, qualify, and develop 'trusted-advisor' relationships with our Federal clients. The results of which will persuade them to invest in our contemporary cloud, data, AI, and automation offerings.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leadership Skills: Lead a sales team of Brand Specialist for the webMethods and StreamSet brands.

  • Revenue Growth Planning: Develop plans for both new and recurring revenue growth.

  • Customer Relationship Building: Cultivate customer relationships, measured by NPS (Net Promoter Score), C-SAT (Customer Satisfaction), and ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) performance.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • Effective Communication: Strong communication and networking skills, both internally at IBM and with our Federal clients, with the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders in deals ranging from $100k to $10 million or more.

  • Technical Sales Specialization: Expertise in technical sales, specializing in cloud, data, AI, security, storage, or automation.

  • Solution Alignment: Proven ability to align technical solutions with client needs and clearly convey their business value.

  • Quota Overachievement: Demonstrated track record of consistent overachievement of sales quotas in complex technical sales.

  • Agile Sales Experience: Experience in agile and modern sales methodologies to drive customer engagement.

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • IBM Product Experience: Experience working with any of IBM's products and services (training across IBM's product suite will be provided).

  • Federal Sales and Leadership Experience: Experience selling and leading teams in the Federal market.
