Note: The hourly rate for this position is $30 - $30 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding refrigerants and HVAC operations, utilizing CFC certification to handle refrigerants safely

• Conduct regular inspections of school facilities to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and areas of improvement including fire extinguishers, locks, plumbing, and HVAC systems

• Respond to emergencies, including plumbing, general HVAC equipment failures, and general electrical

• Utilize painting tools and chemicals to paint mechanical, electrical and pump rooms

• As needed, remove snow and debris from sidewalks, curbs and loading docks

• Lift and move materials, supplies, and equipment minimum 55 lbs

  Qualifications:

• Valid CFC Certification for HVAC systems is required

• Ability to work on call and carry a mobile telephone to respond to emergency calls as needed

• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills to address facility-related issues effectively

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact well with others in a professional manner

• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to facility maintenance and operations

• At least Five years experience in facilities maintenance, particularly in an educational setting, is desired

• Proficient in using computer software for maintenance management and documentation
