We are currently seeking a Client Administration Billing Rate Coordinator in the Finance department, reporting to the Client Administration Supervisor.
The role can reside in the Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco or Washington, DC office with hybrid work capabilities and will assist with the implementation and maintenance of the Firm's billing rates, including both the standard rate structure as well as non-standard billing arrangements.
The Client Administration Billing Rate Coordinator is expected to perform all responsibilities with a commitment to providing superior service to the Firm’s clients, attorneys, advisors and staff, and maintaining an atmosphere of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities of this position include:
Review & Analysis of billing rate data within Aderant financial accounting system
Preparation & updating a wide range of documentation relating to the firms billing rates
Maintains complete and up to date files for each non-standard billing arrangements.
Work with other client accounting teams to assist in the implementation of non-standard billing arrangements on various external billing platforms as well as in Aderant.
Provides relevant knowledge and support to others in the firm in a manner that increases the level of understanding of clients billing rates accounting processes.
Demonstrates effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others.
Understands and complies with Firm operation, policies and procedures.
Other related responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications (Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
Degree required, in accounting, finance or related field preferred
Minimum 3 years Law firm billing experience required
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate potentially detailed and complex information to others
Experience with computerized accounting systems, CMS/Aderant a plus
Experience with various E-billing systems
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Thorough knowledge of MS Office applications including Word and Outlook
Aptitude and willingness to work with complex procedures
Ability to take initiative, set priorities and see projects through completion
Ability to work well under pressure, facilitate solutions, and meet deadlines and milestones for projects assigned
Ability to work independently and with a team
Willingness and ability to assume new tasks and responsibilities
Strong service orientation and an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with users, peers, office and Firm management, and outside business partners
Strong organizational and time management skills, including attention to detail and the ability to organize self and others
Ability to work extended hours as necessary to fulfill time sensitive responsibilities
