SAIC Change Management Analyst in WASHINGTON, District Of Columbia

Description

The Change Management Analyst will be the point of contact for supporting the change management process for the Department of State’s Diplomatic Technologies (DT) bureau. The Change Management Analyst will support Vanguard 2.2.1 and the Government lead at the DT Change Advisory Board (DTCAB). The analyst will provide support, as requested, to the customer for any Change Management activities as specified in DT policies and procedures. The Change Management Analyst may be asked to participate in the lifecycle of a change with the primary objective to achieve beneficial changes with minimum disruption to IT services.

The Change Management Analyst will assist the Change Management Technical Lead by providing support to the customer. The support will include maintaining and updating a schedule of planned approved changes; identify, document, communicate, and coordinate requests for changes (RFCs) with all affected customer entities and IT service providers; expedite emergency change requests; and documenting projected service outages as related to expected deviations from established service level agreements. The Change Management Analyst will assist in developing and maintaining change management documentation that may be included in the IT Operations Center Daily Operations Status Report.

This role is hybrid and currently reports onsite in Washington, DC Tuesdays.

Description of Duties:

  • Provide support to the DT Change Management process.

  • Participate in the DTCAB/Cyber DTCAB Review Meeting.

  • Learn to apply a structured methodology and adhere to change management activities.

  • Review the Requests for Change (RFCs) and begin to understand and assess the impact of each.

  • Learn the process for change management assessments.

  • Learn the change management strategies.

  • Learn the process for configuration management assessments.

  • Learn the configuration management strategies.

  • Learn to define and measure key performance metrics and monitor change and configuration management process progress.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in an IT related discipline and 2 years of experience; may accept additional experience in lieu of degree.

  • Knowledge and experience with Change Management and ITSM processes.

  • At least 2 years of experience in providing IT services. Providing IT support to a large U. S. government customer, highly desirable.

  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts, tools and methodologies to be able to execute tasks with minimal direction

  • Demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver presentations to Vanguard 2.2.1 organization and to the customer.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Project & Visio.

  • Become familiar with basic project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.

  • ITIL® Foundation Certification, highly desirable.

Required Clearance:

  • US Citizenship.

  • Ability to obtain & maintain a secret security clearance.

  • Interim secret will be required prior to starting work.

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
