The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) has the potential need for a Business Analyst II to support our government customer located in the National Capital Region (NCR).

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Business Transformation Strategy Development & Planning.

  • Manage operational data to help achieve key results/outcome and collect-data/coordinate with all stakeholders for their financial performance metrics and generate dashboard.

  • Provide the functional activities relating to administration and management including but not limited to documentation and related functions that provide general support for the project.

  • Provide support by preparing documents such as briefings, point papers, and meeting minutes related to status of the performance.

  • Develop and implement procedures to identify, prevent, and ensure non-recurrence of defective services. The Contractor’s quality control program is the means by which he/she assures that the work complies with the requirement of the contract.

  • Perform project management functions including planning, business case analysis, resource management, risk management, scope management, schedule management, and communication activities and will also ensure that functional and technical resources adhere to deliverables and promote repeatable best practices across the organization they support.

  • Improve customer access to information via self-service; train them to leverage existing and emerging platforms, assess and improve, where necessary, internal FMD process coordination; conduct exercises to test capabilities; and facilitate engagements with customers.

  • Provide project management support and track all efforts and initiative, the respective status, problems as they arise, mitigation strategies, and risks associated with implementing changes.

  • Collect, analyze, and report process improvement and efficiencies progress as mandated by the organizational leadership and assist with updating, tracking, monitoring, and controlling specific Continuous Process Improvement (CPI), business process reengineering (BPR), and change management schedules.

  • Ensure that all activities scheduled remain in alignment with strategic goals and objectives.

  • All project management tasks are executed in accordance with a project management plan.

  • Coordinate process and data integration efforts and create efficiencies by implementing process reengineering - focused upon reducing disconnects and time lags.

  • Assist FMD Assistant Directors in preparation of Monthly Resource Strategy Board (RSB) and Resource Stakeholder Engagement (RSE) briefings.

  • Support a minimum of 22 combined RSB- and RSE-related data updates per year. The Contractor shall support compilation, development, and presentation of up to 25 financial metrics for each monthly meeting.

  • Provide guidance and is responsible for direction through successful performance of a variety of detailed, diverse elements of project management tasks.

  • Direct completion of tasks within estimated timeframes and budget constraints and schedules and assigns duties to subordinates and ensures assignments are completed as directed.

  • Interface with Government representatives on project status and various issues and/or problems.

  • Provide technical guidance and oversight, project planning, coordination of resources, project status reporting, and performance measurement and reporting.

  • Oversee staff training and development to ensure that project is staffed with the right technical resources.

  • Communicate with various stakeholders and develop presentations maps in support of the FMD along with assisting in the identification of process efficiency recommendations.

  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures for RSB and RSE briefings and dashboards.

  • Provide general technical assistance to dashboard users, including stakeholders across WHS and OSD.

  • Provide guidance and is responsible for direction through successful performance of a variety of detailed, diverse elements of project management tasks.

  • Direct completion of tasks within estimated timeframes and budget constraints and schedules and assigns duties to subordinates and ensures assignments are completed as directed.

  • Provide data visualization, analysis, and writing support to Directorate, with a priority given to the Funds Controls and Resource Management and Programming and Budgeting Divisions.

  • Work in coordination with team members to develop various deliverables, including, but not limited to high- level briefings, slide decks, memorandum, talking points, correspondence, and other materials for use by senior- level officials, Congress, the Office of Management and Budget, and the public.

  • Design, develop, and maintain digital tools and databases, such as Power BI, to enhance data visualization, reporting, and analytics within the organization.

    REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • Must hold minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience.

  • A combination of relevant job experience and education may be given consideration in lieu of the degree and years of experience requirements.

    DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Preferred five (5) years of experience,

  • Prior DoD experience.

    REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

  • Must be a US Citizen

  • Must have or be able to obtain an active Secret clearance.
