Job Description:

As our Atlassian Tools Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our team’s usage of Confluence and Jira. You will oversee multiple Confluence spaces and Jira projects, with hundreds of daily users, implementing, troubleshooting, and managing complex custom workflows and fields in Jira, as well as custom developed tools and pages in confluence. Your in-depth technical knowledge and experience in Atlassian tools, integrations, macros, and administration will be essential to our team’s ability to enhance performance and collaboration. This role is ideal for those who can wear multiple hats, manage their workload independently, troubleshoot problems, and devise innovative solutions to improve small team, and large organization productivity. You will support and work beside both highly technical software development teams and functional stakeholders, and your ability to speak and work in a shared language with them will be invaluable.

Qualifications:

  • TS-SCI clearance REQUIRED

  • Able to work 60% on-site at a client SCIF in Washington D.C.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years as an Atlassian administrator

  • AWS Certified Developer Associate certification

  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and their application in Atlassian tools

  • Experience implementing and managing complex Jira configurations (workflows, boards, fields, schemes, notifications, integrations, automation, etc.)

  • Ability to gather requirements for business processes, optimize and improve Jira/Confluence organizational framework, and identify areas for functionality improvement.

  • Proficient in configuring and managing plans with Jira Advanced Roadmaps

  • Excellent JQL knowledge

  • Experience in front-end development using HTML, CSS, and JS.

  • Experience with Confluence macros including ConfiForms, table filters, pivot tables, table transformers, UI tabs, and shared blocks.

  • Experience with Jira Structure, Jira Big Picture, and JSM Insights.

  • Ability to configure Confluence pages with Jira dashboards and enforce Jira hygiene

  • Excellent technical troubleshooting and process implementation skills

  • Exceptional customer service and team collaboration skills

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Experience with permission groups, and permission management across jira projects, and confluence spaces.

  • Experience with the Microsoft 365 (M365) suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience integrating Atlassian tools with the M365 suite, and PowerPlatform

  • Experience or familiarity with DHS’s Maestro collaboration environment

  • Experience in Xray test management for Jira

  • Experience in IT Service Management operations (Incident Management, Service Request, etc.)

  • In-depth knowledge of administering ITSM tools.

  • Relevant certifications.

  • Familiarity with Cloud environments, particularly AWS

  • Familiarity and experience with the Intelligence Community (IC), and the intel cycle.

  • Familiarity and experience with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data and metrics to make informed decisions.

  • A passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.

  • Relevant certifications

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize the usage of Atlassian tools, including Confluence and Jira, across multiple spaces and projects.

  • Scope, implement, and manage complex custom workflows, fields, and schemes in Jira.

  • Scope, implement, and manage complex Confiform forms, views, and integrations across Confluence.

  • Manage custom tool, page, interface, and integration development in Confluence using a combination of HTML/CSS/JS and macros.

  • Implement knowledge management strategies in Confluence to streamline information flow.

  • Implement permission management strategies and auditing to streamline access management.

  • Independently manage workload and troubleshoot problems as they arise.

  • Provide solutions to improve team and division productivity.

  • Provide user management, training, and support for Atlassian Suite.

  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert on implementation, management, and support of products and plugins across the entire Atlassian suite of tools.

  • Develop metrics, dashboards, and advanced filters in JIRA/Confluence to provide end-users and business leadership with meaningful operational/performance metrics and status reports.

  • Determine ways to optimize and improve process workflows.

The likely salary range for this position is $161,500 - $218,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
