Robert Half Administrative Assistant in Washington, District Of Columbia

Description We are seeking an Executive Office Manager for a contract to hire employment opportunity in Washington, DC. This role involves a variety of administrative tasks and requires strong organizational and communication skills. As an Executive Office Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating schedules, handling travel arrangements, and managing email correspondence amongst other duties.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating daily schedules for the team and ensuring all appointments and meetings are well-organized.

• Composing and managing email correspondence to ensure smooth communication within the team and with external stakeholders.

• Utilizing Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) to create presentations, manage data, and maintain organized records.

• Handling travel arrangements, including booking flights, accommodation, and arranging transportation, to ensure smooth and efficient travel experiences for the team.

• Maintaining professionalism in all forms of correspondence and representing the team in a positive and professional manner.

• Using excellent organizational skills to ensure all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.

• Leveraging strong communication skills to liaise with team members and external stakeholders effectively.

• Handling any other administrative tasks as required to support the smooth operation of the team. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Ability to coordinate and manage daily schedules.

• Experience in composing and managing email correspondence.

• Excellent skills in coordinating travel arrangements, including booking flights, hotels, and arranging transport.

• Experience in handling travel logistics and itineraries.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Background in journalism or related field is preferred but not mandatory.

• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in all work.

• Ability to prioritize tasks based on importance and deadlines.

• Proactive attitude and the ability to take initiative in improving administrative processes.
