Pay:
Base pay now starting at $23.32 / hr for candidates with a Bachelor degree
Experience credit applied in addition to base pay
$1,560 annual increase for Master degree
Overtime payment at 1.5x your hourly rate

Located in picturesque Washington, CT the Behavior Specialist position will be part of a cohesive, passionate and dynamic team. The selected candidate will foster Devereux’s mission and values of quality care as well as providing top-notch and individualized therapeutic care for our students.
Position:
We are seeking a Behavior Specialist who has experience with the student population and is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with learning differences and mental health/behavioral challenges. If this describes you, then look no further!
Schedule:
Monday - Friday: 11am-7pm
One weekend every 3 weeks, Saturday and Sunday 7am-3pm
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Manage all aspects of milieu treatment; data collection and record maintenance for student population
Assisting program management and staff with daily activity schedule to ensure it meets all student needs
Accurately assess and report student behavioral performance
Maintain behavioral records reflective of student goals, progress, strategies and outcomes
Participate in clinical treatment team meetings
Provide behavioral professional development, training, and coaching for direct care staff
Work with families on goals their child is working on and how to implement while at home
Communicate recommendations for modifications to campus-wide and individualized treatment protocols to colleagues, supervisor and administration for consideration
Collaborate with all departments to meet student’s treatment needs
Complete Treatment Integrity Audits for Education and Boarding Faculty
Maintain high standards of personal, professional and ethical behavior

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, education or related field
2 years’ experience working with youth with learning differences and special needs
Experience with Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Support Plans
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in applied behavioral analysis or related field
RBT (registered behavior therapist) certified
