Job Title: Painter

Job Description

A Painter oversees various aspects of painting projects, ensuring they run smoothly and meet quality standards. The Painter performs and coordinates the preparation and application of exterior and interior finishes in residential and light commercial settings. This role requires experience as a residential or commercial painter and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the preparation of surfaces for painting, ensuring surfaces are clean, smooth, and ready for paint application.

• Assign specific painting tasks to team members, detailing the scope of work and expected outcomes and timeline for each project.

• Monitor the quality of painting work performed by the team, providing immediate feedback and corrective guidance to maintain high standards.

• Oversee the maintenance of painting equipment on job sites.

• Discuss project requirements with clients and ensure that work aligns with their expectations.

• Ensure safety guidelines are followed during the painting process.

• Maintain records related to project progress and completion.

• Perform painting tasks personally when necessary.

• Drive to job sites as required.

Essential Skills

• Experience in residential or commercial painting.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Current Driver's License.

• Proficiency in painting techniques including spray painting and using industrial paint.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Punctuality and ability to assess job scope with the Production Manager.

• Experience managing a crew and setting the workflow.

• Ability to prepare wall surfaces and paint them as directed.

• Capability to determine and clearly identify proper materials and material quantities for new and existing projects.

• Serve as the liaison between Project Manager and crew, answering questions to the best of your ability.

• Ensure job site is completely clean after each job is completed.

This is a Contract position based out of Waseca, Minnesota.
