Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Warwick, Rhode Island

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Warwick, Rhode Island. In this role, you'll be stepping in to provide essential support during a team member's absence. Your remit will cover a broad range of accounting tasks across reconciliation, general ledger management, and month-end close activities, among others.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out account reconciliation tasks meticulously, ensuring all accounts are balanced and discrepancies are promptly addressed.

• Conduct balance sheet reconciliation, reviewing all entries for accuracy.

• Execute bank reconciliations, comparing our internal records with bank statements to identify any irregularities.

• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate.

• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring each entry is coded correctly.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to create spreadsheets, analyze data, and present financial information.

• Oversee month-end close processes, verifying all financial data before finalizing.

• Utilize NetSuite for various accounting tasks and data management.

• Operate Oracle for data entry, retrieval, and management.

• Use SAP for managing business operations and customer relations. Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

• Proven experience in a similar role such as Accountant or Financial Analyst.

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.

• Strong knowledge of General Ledger maintenance and Journal Entries recording.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

• Experience in Month End Close procedures and reporting.

• Familiarity with financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
