We are currently seeking a Credit and Collections Specialist for our Warwick based client. This role will involve managing customer credit information, conducting collection procedures on overdue accounts, and performing general accounting tasks. The successful candidate will interact with various stakeholders including sales staff, directors, and customers, making credit decisions and enforcing terms.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and enforce credit decisions regarding credit limit and terms in coordination with various stakeholders.

• Manage customer risk by adjusting credit limits and account terms as appropriate.

• Oversee relations with credit reporting and collections agencies.

• Negotiate and enforce payment plans with customers.

• Monitor customer accounts for payment trends and warning signs, taking necessary action when needed.

• Review and manage the customer hold list and overdue accounts, initiating contact to request payment.

• Process customer credit applications and maintain accurate customer records.

• Review new dealer applications and other documentation to determine risk level and set credit limit and terms.

• Handle disputes over unauthorized chargebacks and short payments on all funds received.

• Conduct periodic credit reviews on accounts to ensure accuracy of credit limits, terms, and creditworthiness.

• Perform general accounting tasks such as month-end journal entries support, account reconciliations, and aging report processing.

Skills needed for this role include CRM, Accounts Receivable (AR), Answering Inbound Calls, Billing Functions, Collection Processes, Year End Closings, and Credit Risk Management.

Requirements • Must have proven experience in credit and collections role.

• Proficiency in CRM software is a requirement.

• Demonstrable experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary.

• Ability to efficiently handle and respond to inbound calls is essential.

• Familiarity with billing functions is needed.

• Experience in collection processes is a must.

• Prior involvement in Year End Closings will be considered an advantage.

• Knowledge of Credit Risk Management is required.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.

• High attention to detail and problem-solving skills are crucial.

• Must possess excellent organizational skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant field is preferred.

• Must adhere to strict confidentiality in all matters.

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity are required.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage stress effectively.

• Willingness to continue professional development and stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
