About the role
As a Senior Data Scientist in our innovative Global Data Science Team, you will be a key driver in advancing our data-driven sustainability initiatives. Your expertise will be crucial in leveraging data to create impactful solutions that promote environmental stewardship across various global projects.
The Senior Data Scientists role will be a key driver in helping enable healthier planet Choices through data driven decision making. You will help us by discovering the information hidden in vast amounts of data, structured and unstructured, to enable smarter decisions and better products for all our consumers and customers worldwide. This will ultimately support developing a sustainability tech ecosystem, supporting reporting capabilities and other more predictive/prescriptive analytics tools in the future.
Your responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of predictive models for sustainability operations, aiming to reduce carbon footprint without compromising efficiency.
Pioneer the Sustainability AI initiatives, providing insights and strategies to enhance Reckitt’s ESG commitment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability-focused predictive models, ensuring alignment with Reckitt’s long-term environmental goals.
Manage the end-to-end process of building and deploying machine learning models that support sustainable business decisions, from data collection to actionable insights.
Design and implement cloud-based analytics solutions on Azure, focusing on sustainable data management connecting with various data sources.
Expand the Data Science community’s knowledge on sustainability, contributing to the company’s AI & ML Community of Practice.
The experience we're looking for
Experience in developing models that support sustainability, such as predictive maintenance, resource optimization, and environmental impact assessment.
Strong analytical skills with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in applying advanced analytical techniques to achieve practical business impacts.
Proficiency in Python and familiarity with other programming languages.
Deep understanding of machine learning, statistical methods, and their applications in business analytics, including sustainability analytics.
Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud and knowledge of other cloud platforms is a plus.
Familiarity with sustainability metrics and frameworks, and how they can be integrated into business practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills, organizational abilities, and a desire to work in a dynamic team environment.
A university degree focused on quantitative methods, econometrics, statistics, mathematics, or related fields.
Proficiency in English, with additional languages considered a plus.
