Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Candidates will typically have 5 years of experience in program management.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with SaaS/PaaS, cloud computing, or enterprise software.

• Experience driving technical programs in network deployment, engineering, Content Delivery Networks (CDN), or data center networking within telecommunications or internet industries.

• Knowledge of project management.

• Knowledge of networking technologies/concepts such as Software Defined Networking (SDN) and OpenFlow.

• Ability to deliver complex software products.

• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical groups.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

• Drive the execution of software development projects through planning and cross-functional coordination to deliver program outcomes.

• Work closely with Software Engineers, Quality Assurance, Product Managers, and other Engineering teams to get high-quality products and features through the software project lifecycle (e.g., build, test, and release on time).

• Take responsibility for release schedules and milestones, identify possible issues and clearly communicate them to project stakeholders.

• Lead technical programs for the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), leading cross-functional teams to take products to market, ensuring success metrics inform future efforts.
