Title: Senior GL Controller

Location: Warsaw, Poland

Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility:

Senior GL controller reports to Europe Accounting and Reporting Manager and performs period end closing activities on timely manner and in accordance with operational procedures, global corporate standards and local requirements.

• Proactively performing assigned tasks and processes within accounting area applying US GAAP, including management accounts.

• Oversee accounting close process together with outsource providers, provide guidance to the shared service team and support troubleshooting and problem-solving during month end close.

• Ensure compliance with SOX requirements, internal control environment as applicable.

• Preparation of the periodical management reports, reconciliations including applicable regular analyses and metrics as well as ad hoc reporting and statutory statistical and local reporting

• Cooperate with outsourced accounting team in India seeking out process improvements and standardization opportunities to gain greater efficiency and effectiveness.

• Work on resolving any intercompany discrepancies within the group

• Cooperation with internal and external auditors,

• Oversee outsource provider for the timely completion and accuracy of account reconciliations to ensure balance sheet accuracy,

• Engage with key controllership stakeholders, including FP&A, GBS and act as point of escalation.

Basic Qualifications :

• University Degree in Accounting

• 5+ years in RTR or Finance function preferably with in-depth knowledge of general accounting processes in multinational environment as well as US GAAP/IFRS accounting

• Analytical, problem solving and communication skills

• Ability to respond flexibly to customer needs, effectively managing expectations

• Ability to work in global team environment and communicate effectively with both internal business partners of all levels and outside of finance

• Knowledge of ERP systems

• Fluency in English language

• Knowledge of French, Spanish, German or Italian will be additional advantage

• CPA, CIMA, ACCA, Chartered accountant, or equivalent will be additional advantage.
