We're hiring a Senior Agronomist

Your Challenge:

  • Develop & provide agronomic, product & service training to field sales force &key accounts to support the sales & service of the Pioneer brand.

  • Assist in the identification of new products that fit with customer needs in the area.

  • Together with Area Sales Managers establish direct linkages with key accounts to provide agronomy, product and general crop production information at regular intervals.

  • Support field sales force in resolving customer service calls.

  • Support field sales force training of the technical departments of distributors regarding product positioning, crop management & customer complaints.

  • Be involved in demand creation for Pioneer seed.

  • Establish & maintain relationships with universities or other influencers within area

  • Product Evaluation 

  • Sales Support 

Preferred Location of candidate: North -West part of Poland: around Bydgoszcz, Szczecinek; Pila, etc.

Qualifications

To Grow What Matters, You Will Need  

  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in Agronomy or related field preferred. 

  • 5 to 7 years technical services or agronomy experience 

  • Driver license 

  • Native Polish, English would be an advantage

  • External and constant car travel 

  • Knowledge of local agriculture market, value chain and crop production practices

  • Knowledge of Environmental, regulatory, and stewardship issues

  • Ability to successful Conflict resolution and handling objections. 

Demonstrated ability to: 

  • Build/maintain strong relationships with customers, key industry/market influencers, internal partners and teammates. 

  • Work effectively within a team environment 

  • Lead and influence projects and coach individuals in accomplishing goals defined 

  • Understands the needs and values of partners and customers to goals defined 

  • Get results by taking initiative, overcoming obstacles  & finding creative solutions 

  • Work independently with minimum supervision and operate within budget 

  • Work and adapt to a rapidly changing business environment. 

  • Using computer hardware software/intranet to generate reports, to access Pioneer information and complete administrative duties 

  • Teaching/training and presenting 

  • Crop production/cultural practices 

  • Negotiation skills  

  • Interpersonal skills 

  • Updated in agronomic practices, agricultural business and policies 

  • Good communication skills
