We are looking for a Controller for CBRE´s Investment Oversight team based in Warsaw. The controlling / accounting services provided relates to commercial real estate owning properties located in Poland. As a Controller in the Investment Oversight department of CBRE Investment Accounting and Reporting Solutions (“CBRE IA&R”), you will work in an ambitious and growing environment. In this role you will be responsible for coordinating a team of professionals and stakeholders.
Investment Oversight teamworks closely with various other departments withinCBRE IA&Ras well as with clients. The Investment Oversight department is responsible for controlling and reporting tasks at the level of property owning companies. The team partners with accountants, property managers and asset managers of the client as well as other 3 rd party advisors (tax, audit, legal) to get detailed understanding of the business and economics of the property owning companies under their responsibility. The team is responsible for producing accurately and timely high quality financial reporting to clients, overall coordination and finance management tasks.

With this role, Controller :
· Supports overseeing the work activities of the reporting team
· Is responsible for review of work of junior team members and day-to-day management of the Investment Oversight Poland team
· Holds the reporting calendar of activities performed by the team and is responsible for a stable delivery of financial reporting to clients
· Supports onboarding and training of new team members
· Works in close relation with Asset Managers, Property Managers, Property Accountants and Fund Controllers
· Prepares and/or reviews monthly and quarterly reporting packages and other client reporting
· Obtains and processes input on property level for purposes of financial reporting, performs analytical checks on the reported financial data
· Takes part in property forecasting & budgeting process including analysis of actuals vs forecast/budget on property company level
· Coordinates and supervises audit process (as per requirements of the client) on property company level
· Supports clients in transactions (acquisitions / disposals / entity set-ups and liquidations)
· Works closely with senior financial management on tax planning and cash flow forecasting with respect to property companies under their supervision
· Monitors changes in local requirements and legislations and analyses their impact on the property company
· Supports processes of standardization and automation of financial reporting performed for various clients
· Reports directly to Senior Manager Investment Oversight Poland
Requirements:
· Graduate from higher vocational training (Bachelor) or university (Master) specializing in finance, such as business economics or accountancy; preferred started with CPA/ACCA/CA
· Minimum of 5-6 years relevant work experience, preferably in a similar position at a real estate organization, financial organization or big 4 accounting firm;
· Knowledge of financial ratios associated with real estate investments;
· Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, such as VAT, CIT, local GAAP, IFRS and accounting principles in general;
· Knowledge of external reporting and a fresh, modern approach to information disclosure;
· Practical experience with financial reporting;
· Strong analytical skills and well-developed critical attitude;
· Excellent communication skills and social skills;
· Accurate, independent and proactive;
· Solution-oriented attitude;
· Team player;
· Fluent English language skills;
· Fluent Polish language skills;
· German or French language skills are welcome
· Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
