As a Design Engineer in Advanced Technology Thermal Systems Design team (18 people), you will be responsible for supporting thermal design of rotor/stator engine components. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to development efforts in new technology projects for jet engines. Additionally, you may work on the thermal design of other engine components, such as combustor and heat exchanger. In this role you will develop your knowledge and competences to identify problems, find solutions, and demonstrate thermal design and analytical skills.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform the thermal design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards and product / program requirements

  • Participate in development of rotor/stator design for assigned project

  • Collaborate with design team members and experts to meet project goals

  • Exchange technical information, promote open dialogue and asks questions to solve problems

  • Prepare and present technical data on internal and external reviews

  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

  • MSc/BSc in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science

  • Understanding of heat transfer and fluid mechanics

  • Ability to effectively communicate within the team

  • Good level of English
