Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. Material Handler - 1st shift in Warrendale, Pennsylvania
*Position Summary*
MEPPI's High Voltage Switch Gear Division (HVSD) is looking for a Material Handler/Warehouse Associate to perform routine manual duties in inventory areas such as crating/uncrating materials, washing parts, re-palletizing parts, and transporting materials to proper locations to support manufacturing operations. *Essential Functions*
- Load and unload material to be delivered between MEPPI facilities in a safe and efficient manner without causing any damage to material.
- Drive MEPPI vehicles as assigned.
- Stage and return MRR material to warehouse as required.
- Stage and return bins, pallets, A-frames, and stackable racks to the warehouse.
- Deliver and pick up interoffice mail as required.
- Stock and maintain Keystone Drive WIP area.
- Receive incoming material from trucks using forklifts and cranes.
- Uncrate materials using hand and power tools.
- Tag and move materials to proper locations.
- Disperse inventory items and expense items.
- Support and assist the HVSD Supervisor as needed.
- Support and make recommendations to improve Company policies and procedures.
- Further the goals and positive, professional image of the HVSD Manufacturing Department.
- Know MEPPI?s Quality, Safety and Environmental Policies. Be able to fully discuss the importance of these policies and how they impact work.
*Qualifications*
- High School or GED, plus two years of work experience, or equivalent education and experience.
- Applicable safety/operations training required to operate certain machinery and equipment (e.g. fork truck, crane).
- Basic computer/data entry experience.
- Ability to safely and correctly use hand and power tools and measurement devices.
- Ability to stand, crawl, squat, kneel, twist, bend, and reach above the shoulders to perform essential job functions.
- Ability to work indoor and outdoor temperatures for extended periods of time.
- Ability to read, write and follow instructions.
- Ability to operate powered equipment, such as fork truck.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds on a regular basis and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to pass a medical examination performed by a company physician for Commercial Driver Fitness Determination in order to drive a company vehicle.
- Hold a valid driver?s license.
