Company: Lordstown Police Department Location: Lordstown, OH Position: Police Officer The position of Police Officer is subordinate to the Chief of Police and to all other ranking officers of the department.  The Police Officer is responsible for the protection of life and property, the prevention of crime, the apprehension of criminals and the enforcement of federal, state, and local laws.  His/Her work is preformed in accordance with departmental rules, regulations, and policies and normally consists of routine patrol, responding to calls for service, preliminary investigations and traffic enforcement.  There is a certain element of danger in performing these duties and the Police Officer must be able to act in these instances without direct supervision, exercising independent discretion in handling these duties.  The Police Officer must be able to carry out specialized assignments in an attempt to detect and apprehend criminals and perform other duties or functions, which may be assigned.   Salary: -$64,7920 yearly  License and Education: -Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy  -High school diploma or GED  Schedule: -Sunday through Saturday -Full time, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, and split  To Apply: -In person at 1583 Salt Springs Road SW Warren, OH 44481 -Fax resume to (330) 824-2135 -Email resume to chief@lordstownpd.com -Online at www.lordstownpd.com{rel="nofollow"}
