Amentum Senior Logistician in Warren, Michigan

Amentum is currently seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Senior Logistician to support Product Manager Army Watercraft Systems (AWS), Program Manager Transportation System (PM TS), Program Executive Office Combat Support and Combat Service Support (PEO CS&CSS.) The Senior Logistician will be responsible for planning, coordinating, managing, and analyzing actions as they pertain to Property Accountability, Supply Management, Asset Accountability, and other support requirements. This position is currently hybrid, with the incumbent expected to work about one day a week in the office. This arrangement could change based on requirements of the government client.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and direction for the execution of all related logistics functions in support of mission-essential operations of the organization.

  • Additional duties may include issues related to property accountability systems including Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), Defense Property Accountability System -Enhanced (DPAS-E), etc, modernization plans, resources, program requirements and regulations.

  • Maintain property accountability of Government property (Government-Owned Non-Fielded and Government Furnished Property) using the appropriate APSR.

  • Provide guidance and monitors hand receipt holders to ensure inventories are performed in accordance with Army Regulations.

  • Review and analyze logistics program regulations and readiness reporting requirements and identify policy and procedures to improve Product Manager (PdM) operations.

  • Interpret and recommend procedures for asset accountability, planning, logistic operations, exercises, and materiel readiness to maintain effective logistics operations and readiness support. Identify and integrate internal logistics program requirements to develop PdM policy issues which impact the overarching PEO environment.

  • Identify key systems for logistics effectiveness and develop criteria to assess each system and components to identify potential weaknesses and implements actions based on lessons learned during contingency events in which PEO had been implemented.

  • Provide technical and operational guidance and advice on all matters relevant to asset accountability and advise the Product Support Manager on program status, problem areas, and operations resources, and training requirements to improve programs.

  • Conduct a total annual reconciliation of Government property with the primary hand receipt holders.

  • Assist with primary hand receipt accounts through the proper issue, receipt, and transfer of equipment using the appropriate system of record.

  • Manage property accountability using the Accountable Property Systems, such as Property Book Unit Supply Enhanced, Defense Property Accountability System, and the Global Combat Support System- Army.

  • Serve as the advisor for auditors, inspectors, and investigators by explaining and justifying overall local policies and procedures used to account for property.

  • Assist with Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (FLIPL) and special investigations collection vouchers in a timely and efficient manner, complying with processing timelines as determined by applicable regulations.

  • Review and provide input for inventory reports to assure compliance with all regulations and to ensure that appropriate adjustments are made when necessary.

     

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree and 12+ years of experience with military or government related duties, OR Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience with military or government.
