Staff Source Production Saw Operator in Warren, Michigan
Staff Source is seeking a detailed oriented, personable Saw Operator for a Metal Distributor located in Fraser, MI. This is a Full time first shift temp to hire position. The rate of pay is $16.50 - $17.50 per hour
Saw Operator Duties/responsibilities:
- Operator forklift to retrieve material from rack
- Assisting customers with pick up orders and with loading materials into their trucks Place material on the saw table
- Program saw to cut material down to customer specifications
- Use caliper and tape measure to ensure material is being cut to the correct specifications
- Change saw blades as needed, put material back into racks
- Cleaning of work area Other various warehouse related tasks
- Must be able to lift 50 - 75lbs
- Ability to convert fractions to decimals (There is a written test you must pass)
- Previous experience operating a band saw or similar type equipment is preferred
- Must be a dependable worker who is able to work in team environment as well as independently.
- Detail-oriented
Saw Operator Requirements:
MUST have a minimum of 4 years of previous Forklift experience
MUST have previous experience using calipers as well as previous experience with use of tape measure
Short measuring math test would be required
Drug test Background test
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour
