Description

Our client, a well-established manufacturing company with a revenue portfolio of $25 million, is currently seeking a highly qualified and motivated Sr Accountant/Controller. This individual will play a pivotal role in managing the daily accounting operations, payroll, month-end close, and financial reporting.

The Sr Accountant/Controller will oversee the financial operations of the company. This role demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, an understanding of laws and regulations relating to accounting, financial management, and payroll.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily accounting operations, including record keeping and reporting

  • Oversee the payroll process

  • Perform month-end close procedures

  • Prepare accurate quarterly and annual financial reports

  • Provide insightful information and expectations to the executive team for decision-making and strategic planning

  • Supervise, train, and manage junior staff to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness in all tasks

  • Comply with federal, state, and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on actions as necessary

The ideal candidate will have experience running the daily accounting, payroll and reporting for a similar sized organization either as a Sr Accountant, Accounting Manager or Controller.

Strong preference for candidates with experience using Netsuite and ADP

Targeted compensation for the role is $95k to $105k plus a lucrative bonus plan, competitive benefits, and a great company culture.

Requirements

  • 10-15+ years of progressive accounting experience

  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience as an accounting/finance lead for an organization or business unit

  • Netsuite and ADP experience preferred but not required

  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred
