Description

The position of Accounts Payable Specialist is an integral role in this company. The individual will be primarily responsible for handling the accounting, recording, and management of outgoing payments. This includes the processing of invoices, resolution of payment issues, and ensuring the organization's financials are up-to-date and accurate.

Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments

• Manage the entire cycle of accounts payable, from receipt of invoices to payment

• Verify expense reports and prepare reimbursements

• Maintain accuracy of vendor records including contact information and banking details

• Resolve payment discrepancies, disputes, and any irregularities

• Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closings

• Perform monthly reconciliations of payable accounts

• Liaise with vendors and other departments to resolve any issues or inquiries related to payable accounts

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures

• Assist in financial audits by providing required information

• Stay updated on the industry's latest trends and best practices

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field pref.

• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role

• Knowledge of account payable procedures, and general ledger structures

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software pref.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Knowledge of regulatory standards of confidentiality
