Job Title: Associate Engineer

Job Description

As an Associate Engineer, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing failed UPSes and power systems down to the component level. You will document failure symptoms and repairs for production and customer repairs, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventative actions. You will also document and analyze repair trends, adhere to production ISO policies and procedures, and work with design engineers to identify product improvements and engineering change orders (ECOs).

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair failed UPSes and power systems down to component level.

  • Document failure symptoms and repairs for production and customer repairs.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and identify corrective actions.

  • Implement corrective and preventative actions.

  • Document and analyze repair trends.

  • Follow and adhere to production ISO policies and procedures.

  • Collaborate with design engineers to identify product improvements and ECOs.

Essential Skills

  • Troubleshooting electrical systems to component level.

  • Hands-on use of oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers.

  • Ability to read schematics.

  • Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA).

  • Root cause analysis.

  • Knowledge of ISO, AS9100, AS9102 standards.

  • Experience with military and STRAC standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers, and a-c and d-c loads to troubleshoot electronic circuits.

  • Proficiency in the use of soldering equipment for SMT devices and hand tools used in electromechanical assembly.

  • Ability to read mechanical prints and interpret drawings and schematics.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Team player with a willingness to work collaboratively across the organization.

  • Experience using Puddy, SNMP, and computer tools for troubleshooting.

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent technical training.

  • Experience testing and repairing power electronic circuitry and systems down to component level.

  • Experience soldering fine pitch SMT components to IPC610 class 2 standards.

  • Experience using 8D or similar problem-solving processes and tools.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $31.00
