As a Technical Project Manager & Governance Lead within our thriving Google Cloud Platform practice, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering world-class solutions for our clients.

The Work

This role demands a unique blend of technical expertise, project management prowess, and leadership capabilities. You will lead complex GCP projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives, budget constraints, and timelines. Crucially, you will also establish and maintain governance frameworks to ensure compliance, security, and operational excellence across our GCP engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management: Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of Google Cloud projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. Develop comprehensive project plans, resource allocation and monitor performance against KPIs and milestones, and ensure timely and successful project delivery.

GCP Governance: Define, implement, and maintain governance frameworks and policies across GCP projects, ensuring compliance with security and operational best practices. This includes defining standards for architecture, security, deployment, and monitoring. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, security protocols, and best practices. Collaborate with legal, security, and compliance teams to mitigate risks and resolve issues.

Technical Leadership: Collaborate with architects to design scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project teams, manage stakeholders, coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, developers, and business analysts. Resolve technical roadblocks and ensure the quality of deliverables.

Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate project status, risks, and challenges to both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.

Technical Expertise: Leverage deep knowledge of GCP services, including Compute Engine, BigQuery, Anthos, Kubernetes, and GCP’s security offerings. Drive GCP migration and modernization using IaC tools, containerization, microservices, and serverless technologies. Implement GCP data and AI/ML services, focusing on data pipelines, warehousing, and machine learning. Ensure security compliance with IAM, network security, encryption, and industry standards like SOC 2 and ISO 27001.

Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.

Here's what you need

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Technical Project Manager or Governance Lead in cloud computing, preferably on Google Cloud.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with understanding of GCP technologies, architecture, and services, involving infrastructure and application modernization, data and AI/ML.

  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and proficiency in tools like Jira, Asana, or MS Project

Minimum of 5 years of experience implementing governance frameworks and ensuring regulatory compliance.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate’s Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)

Bonus points if you have

  • Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies, knowledge of cloud financial management and cost optimization practices and familiarity with hybrid and multi-cloud strategies.

  • Google Cloud certifications (Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, Professional Cloud Security Engineer

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Scrum Master Certification are highly recommended.

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
