Minimum Qualifications You must take and pass a civil service examination in order to be considered for this position. For employees of NYS; on or before the date of examination, you must be a qualified employee of NYS and have had three (3) months of permanent competitive or55-b/55-c service as follows: either A. as a payroll assistant or payroll assistant trainee; or B. in a clerical, keyboarding or paraprofessional title allocated to grade 9 or higher.
