We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Wallingford, Connecticut. This role is within the telecom industry and involves providing support to our accounting department. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate customer credit records, processing credit applications, and resolving credit inquiries. This position is ideally suited to someone with great organizational skills and administrative experience, particularly in using Microsoft Office Suites.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner

• Maintain and update customer credit records to ensure they're current

• Resolve customer credit inquiries promptly and professionally

• Monitor customer credit accounts regularly to identify outstanding payments

• Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments when necessary

• Use Microsoft Office Suites to manage and organize data effectively

• Ensure punctuality and meet deadlines for all assigned tasks

• Utilize organizational skills to maintain an efficient and orderly work environment.

Requirements • Must have experience in an administrative role

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites is essential

• Strong organizational skills are required

• Punctuality and reliability are crucial

• A background in accounting or related field is preferred

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary

• Must have the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

• Familiarity with accounting software and systems would be an advantage

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work is required

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Must adhere to confidentiality and data protection procedures

• Previous experience in data entry and record keeping would be beneficial

• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure is essential.
