South County Hospital RN- Cardiac Cath Lab in Wakefield, Rhode Island
Assists cardiologists in performing diagnostic cardiac catheterization and other related procedures. Promotes a philosophy of patient/family-focused care in all interactions with patients, families and hospital personnel and focus on understanding and meeting customer needs. Is cross-trained to function in all roles; Monitors and records the electrocardiogram and hemodynamic pressures during cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures, sets up and calibrates specialized equipment and circulates or scrub during procedures. Graduate of an accredited nursing school and current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island or in another state that participates in the Nurse Licensure Compact, current valid ACLS certification from AHA required. BLS from AHA and minimum 1 year acute care nursing experience required. Minimum 3-5 years Cardiac Catheterization laboratory experience. 5 years critical care experience required- CCU/CTICU. Proficient in cardiovascular assessment and interpretation of cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic monitoring, and intra-arotic Balloon Pump.
