Tri-County Health Care Registered Nurse - Infusion Center Nurse in Wadena, Minnesota

This position is part-time: 24 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8 hour day shifts, no holidays or weekends. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Uses and documents the nursing process to provide individualized patient-focused care in the ambulatory care setting
Serves outpatient populations needing chemotherapy, IV therapy, injections, blood, and blood product administration as well as wound care
Addresses the psychosocial, patient safety and support needs of outpatients and families receiving chemotherapy
Delegates appropriate responsibilities to other nursing personnel
Completed required administrative work associated with the patient appointment
Coordinates the nursing plan of care with the medical plan of care in the development and implementation of the Patient Care Plan
Performs patient care activities to provide for the physical, social, psychological, and spiritual needs of hte patient/family
Safety administers treatments, conducts nursing procedures, maintains and uses therapeutic equipment to carry out physician's orders which relate to the practice of nursing to patients of all ages
Administers medications including orals, injectables, intravenous solutions and blood components
Competencies required include:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Understanding of health care system and continuum of care
Proficient computer and telephone skills
Commitment to providing excellent patient care and overall experience
Education and experience required:
Current licensure as Registered Nurse (RN) in Minnesota
Must possess or obtain Oncology Nursing Society Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider Card within 3 months of hire
